MCC golf finishes strong, takes sixth place at nationals.

CHAUTAUQUA, New York - The MCC golf team wrapped up another successful season with a sixth-place finish at the 2016 NJCAA Division III national tournament at Chautauqua Golf Club.

The Tirbunes put together an impressive team score of 307 in Friday's final round to close things out. Monroe finished the four-day tournament with a total score of 1,265.

Vincennes University went wire-to-wire to take th team title with an overall score of 1,198.

Michael Long and Jackson Mordaunt each shot 76 on Friday to help MCC to its best single-day score of the tournament. Long finished as the top Tribune scorer and finished tied for 21st overall with a 313.

Connor Goss shot a 77 and Joshua DeSain and Tyler Hockenberger both had 78s on Friday. All five players finished in the Top 50.

Mohawk Valley's Dante Migliore was the individual winner after finishing at +1 and winning in a playoff.
