Rochester, NY.- Monroe Community College men's lacrosse team hosted their home opener this past Saturday against Western Virginia University Potomac. The Tribunes stole a 28-4 victory from WVU earning themselves five goals within the first five minutes of the game. From there, they took off with 50 shots, successfully clearing nine times and winning 24 of the 27 face offs. Freshman, Jack Cummings (Penfield, NY) broke an MCC record scoring 10 goals for the Tribunes with two assists.
- Tucker Hill (Victor, NY) finished with 24 face off wins out of 27 for Monroe.
- Brett Cunningham (Gananda, NY) added seven goals and six assists for the Tribunes.
- TJ Day (Rush-Henrietta, NY) finished with six goals and three assists for Monroe.
The Tribunes are back in action this Wednesday at home when they host Genesee Community College at 4 pm.
