Player of the Year Egan highlights six on All Region team

ROCHESTER - MCC sophomore Lucas Egan was named the Region III, Division I men's soccer Player of the Year after leading the Tribunes to a 9-5-1 and the regional championship.

Egan was one of six Tribunes who were selected for the season-ending All Region team. The midfielder totaled six goals and six assists for 18 points and was a leader in the middle of the pitch for Monroe.

Egan was joined on the All Region team by fellow sophomore Julian MacDonald as well as freshmen Daniel Diamoutene, Adrian Minott, Anthony Paris, and Mark-Vincent Sansone.

MacDonald captained the squad. The defensive midfielder tallied a goal and four assists on the season. Diamoutene anchored a defense that allowed less than two goals per game and registered five shutouts, including four in a row.

Minott, Paris, and Sansone make up an exciting group of midfielders that Monroe will build on heading to next season. Minott finished with a goal and tied Egan for the team lead with six assists. Paris finished with four goals and an assist, with two of the goals coming in the regional championship to earn him tournament MVP honors.

Sansone finished the year with two goals and five assists.
