Pool records fall as MCC men swim past Roberts

NORTH Chili, New York - The MCC men's swimming and diving team set five Roberts Wesleyan pool records en route to a 175-30, non-conference victory over the Redhawks Wednesday evening.

Tyler Bischoping and Cameron Wagner set two pool records apiece to pace Monroe. Bischoping won with new marks in the 500 free (4:56.61) and the 1000 free (10:22.50), while also placing first in the 200 fly (2:12.01). Wagner won the 200 free (1:49.56) and the 200 back (2:06.35).

Greg Sanders set a new pool standard in the 100 breast in a time of 1:02.61. He also placed first in the 200 breast (2:18.57) and the 400 IM (4:50.76). Parker Stone was a triple-winner as well, touching first in the 100 back (1:01.69), the 50 free (23.71), and the 100 free (52.76).

Monroe's other winners included Sean Mahaney in the 100 fly (59.63), and Loren Searle in 1-meter diving (221.15).

The 400 medley relay team of Evan Napper, Zach Roberts, Sam Cottrell, and Searle placed first in a time of 4:27.90. MCC also won the 200 free relay, with Mahaney, Napper, Stone, and Searle combining for a time of 1:38.46.
