SYRACUSE - The MCC Tribunes tied a team-record with 17 made 3-pointers in a 110-84 victory over Onondaga Community College in women's basketball action Thursday evening.
Sierra Green connected on five 3's for the Tribunes (2-0), while Abby White, Erica Abitante, and Milan Hatcher added three apiece from long range. MCC led by just four after the first quarter before scoring a combined 62 points over the second and third to push the lead to double digits.
Lanay Rodney had another huge game for Monroe. The freshman was 12-for-18 from the field and finished with a career-high 29 points. She scored 25 in a season-opening win against Finger Lakes on Nov. 1.
Rodney also hauled down 11 rebounds for the double-double. White dished out 11 assists to go along with her 11 points.
Green finished with 18 points, six rebounds and three blocks for MCC. Hatcher scored 17 and Abitante added 15.
