BALTIMORE - The MCC women's basketball team went 2-0 at the Charm City Classic hosted byBaltimore City Community College over the weekend.
The Tribunes defeated BCCC 75-67 on Saturday before taking down Chesapeake College 74-58 Sunday. Monroe improved to 8-2 on the season.
Lanay Rodney paced the attack on Saturday, scoring a game-high 26 to go along with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. The freshman forward was 10-of-15 from the floor.
Torrie Cash and Kathryn Kanhoye chipped in with 11 points apiece and Shalix Hines added 10 for the Lady tribunes. Cash also contributed six rebounds, six assists, and four steals in a stellar all-around performance.
Rodney chipped in with 10, while Cash, Kanhoye, and Hines had nine apiece.
