Volleyball garners All-Region, All-Conference nods

ROCHESTER - A trio of MCC volleyball players have earned postseason awards handed out by Region III and the Western New York Athletic Conference.

Freshman Hannah DeLorenzeo was honored on both year-end lists. The setter/rightside hitter was named to the All-Region III second team, as well as the All-WNYAC first team. She averaged 2.5 kills and 3.5 assists per set, while also compiling 181 digs and 30 service aces on the season.

DeLorenzo was joined on the All-WNYAC list by a pair of fellow freshmen, Julie Cicotta and Maryssa Greer.

Cicotta led Monroe with 266 kills and 2.71 kills per set. She also tallied 316 digs and accounted for a team-best 323.5 points.

Greer did a bit of everything for the Tribunes. A libero by trade, she also stepped in as setter and outside hitter at times due to injuries. She finished with 319 digs and a team-high 3.8 digs per set. She also added 126 assists.
