ROCHESTER - The MCC men's lacrosse team closed out the regular season in style, defeating Alfred State 20-6 on DiMarco Field.
The Tribunes head to the postseason with a record of 8-6. Next week's regional schedule will be announced shortly.
Kori Halftown (Cattaraugus Reservation/Gowanda) led the attack with six goals and an assist. Mitch Smith (Hilton, NY/Hilton) added four goals and one assist.
Ethan Printy (Irondequoit, NY/Eastridge) had another solid all-round game, tallying three goals, one assist, and 11 ground balls. Lindsey Pound (Henderson, NY/Immaculate Heart) and Tyler Martin (Central Square, NY/Central Square) added two goals and three assists apiece.
Alex Howell (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) and Nick Beniamino (Mendon, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) combined to stop 13 shots in the cage.
Mitch Morrill (Irondequoit, NY/Irondequoit) added a goal and two assists, and Brian Flanagan (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) and Mike Larkin (Penfield, NY/Penfield) had one goal each.
