JAMESTOWN, NY - Tournament MVP Dallas Gary (Buffalo, NY/East High) had 17 points and 10 rebounds as second-ranked MCC defeated Jamestown CC 74-59 to capture the Post-Journal Classic Sunday.
The victory pushes Monroe's record to 13-1 on the season.
The Tribunes led by just three at the half before out-running the under-manned Jayhawks in the second half. MCC's bench outscored Jamestown's 45-4.
Tashawn Desir (Brooklyn, NY/Nia Prep) tallied nine points, six assists, and five rebounds to join Gary on the all-tournament team. Greg Williams (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton) chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Arnold Fripp (Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn Collegiate) and Malcolm McNair (Jacksonville, FL/Samuel L. Wolfson) had 10 points apiece.
