Tribunes Fight Hard but Season Ends with 3–2 Loss to Monroe University

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Monroe Community College's women's soccer team battled fiercely on Saturday afternoon but fell just short in a 3–2 loss to Monroe University, ending their season. Despite the tough result, the Tribunes showed determination, skill, and heart throughout the match.

The Tribunes got on the board in the 76th minute when Julia Engstler converted an assist from Alisia Zagaria, igniting a late surge. Engstler's goal showcased the team's resilience and never-give-up spirit.

Refusing to back down, Chyene Whitcomb found the back of the net in the 85th minute to make it 3–2. Whitcomb's goal brought Monroe within one and fueled the team's relentless push in the final minutes of play.

Goalkeeper Celine Gubser stood tall between the posts, making several key saves to keep the Tribunes in the fight. Her leadership and poise anchored the team's defense and kept Monroe Community College competitive from start to finish.
