Sal Galvano - MCC Head Coach
Galvano, a native of Rochester and a graduate of Gates Chili High School, is in his 12th year as the head coach of the MCC women's soccer team. In that time he has amassed an overall record of 162-44-8. He has led the Lady Tribunes to 11 Region III championships and was named Region III Coach of the Year all 11 years.
Galvano was also named the 2012 and 2016 North Region Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Before MCC, Galvano spent two years as the men’s soccer coach at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Ariz. He led the Thunderbirds to the semifinals of the 2007 Arizona Community College Athletic Association tournament.
Galvano began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant for the Genesee Community College men’s team from 1998-2002, helping the Cougars attain national rankings for three consecutive years. He then became the first women’s soccer head coach at Cedar Valley College (Lancaster, Tex.), compiling a 44-18-4 record during his tenure and leading the team to an NJCAA Division III national runner-up finish in 2005.
He also coaches in the Olympic Development Program and is the president of the NJCAA Women’s Soccer Coaches Association.
Galvano played two years at Canisius College before transferring to SUNY Brockport, where he was an All-SUNYAC performer for the Golden Eagles. He also trained with the Buffalo Blizzard (National Professional Soccer League) and the Rochester Raging Rhinos.
Loren Inglese - MCC Assistant Coach
Loren Inglese enters his sixth year as an assistant coach at MCC. During that time he has helped the Lady Tribunes to an impressive 66-19-4, including a third-place finish at the 2016 NJCAA National Tournament. Loren helps out with day-to-day operations of the program, while also coaching the midfielders and goalkeepers. He also helps with recruitment.
A native of Rochester, NY, Loren has coached high school varsity at Rush-Henrietta and Churchville-Chili, as well as club soccer. Most recently he was the Head Coach/GM of the Rochester Lady Lancers, who compete in the United Women’s Soccer League (UWS).
Loren holds the USSF National D License.
The staff will also include coaches from NCAA Division I, II, and II and NAIA colleges and universities as well as current MCC women's soccer players.
